I was reading B.J. Novak’s One More Thing (Stories and Other Stories) last night on the plane to Taipei. The book is a collection of random short stories (you figured it out? Good job! Haha.) Some related, mostly aren’t. They go from thought-provoking to downright silly. Some were eight pages long, one was just composed of three lines. There was a story about a boy, about a girl, about an impatient billionaire, about a grandmother who was blowing Frank Sinatra in heaven.
Anyway, I mentioned the book ‘cause I thought that would be a good way to chronicle this trip. I’m feeling short stories right now. I’ll be here for the next seven days and I just know there’s no surefire way to capture everything - and most importantly, make sense out of everything.
So that’s what I’d do. Post random stories in the next few days. Some may be filed under Realizations, some under Word Vomit, or Useless Rambling.
Who cares, really? :)
Discoveries and misadventures await. |
